With the holiday season now over, you will have a little more time on your hands to focus on projects around the house.  Redecorating your home is a task that often gets pushed aside due to time constraints and exuberant costs related to this projects.  This need not be the case. There are many ways to decorate your home quickly and easily and inexpensively.

  1. One way to transform any room instantly is with a new coat of paint.  Choose a vibrant color to give any room a new lease on life.  Painting an accent wall in a contrasting color will give a new focal point to the room and will add pizzazz to what used to be a ordinary look.  You can do this easily on your own to save some money.  However, you may want to hire someone to advise you on the shades of color to use. You want make sure the color that you choose goes ok with the rest of the décor in the room.  Make the most of the paint job. Choosing the right colors can go a long way.
  2. Add a molding to give your room new dimension.  A simple chair rail or a more ornate lighting medallion can really add elegance.  By using the correct router bits you can create simple to intricate molding designs to spruce up your room.
  3. Rearrange the furniture in your room.  Sketch a plan on a paper before you begin to move around the heavy items.  Placing your furniture on different walls or in opposite directions will make the space a feel of the room a whole lot different.  For instance, lacing the couch on a diagonal can make you room seem wider.
  4. Add new rugs to the area that you wish to redecorate.  The addition of a new rug can help define an area.
