With the holiday season now over, you will have a little more time on your hands to focus on projects around the house.  Redecorating your home is a task that often gets pushed aside due to time constraints and exuberant costs related to this projects.  This need not be the case. There are many ways to decorate your home quickly and easily and inexpensively.

1. One way to transform any room instantly is with a new coat of paint.  Choose a vibrant color to give any room a new lease on life.  Painting an accent wall in a contrasting color will give a new focal point to the room and will add pizzazz to what used to be a ordinary look.  You can do this easily on your own to save some money.  However, you may want to hire someone to advise you on the shades of color to use. 3. 4. Add new rugs to the area that you wish to redecorate.  The addition of a new rug can help define an area. 6. Slipcovers can also add a whole new look to your aging furniture.  There are all different slipcovers in all different fabrics, colors and prints.  Spending a little more on your slipcovers will get you a better fitting cover that will look really impressive.
7. Shop around for different accessories that can give your room so much character.  For instance new throw pillows can do a lot. There are throw pillows in every shape and color imaginable.  Replace your existing lamp shade cover with a new one.  Find decorative door handles and replace the knobs on your furniture and cabinets. Add a new mirror to open up an area.
